Plastic accessories like mudguards may be expensive at service stations. While wiring harnesses are small, their cost is significant because their design and layout are benchmarked against high-end foreign heavy trucks. For example, they use double-layer corrugated conduit to wrap the wiring harness connectors and are manufactured by internationally renowned brands, resulting in higher labor costs for installation.

Some components of AMT heavy trucks, such as Sachs clutches, have slightly higher procurement costs, but in the long run, they can reduce overall costs. For example, the engine, transmission, and axle assemblies only require oil changes every 100,000 kilometers.

The maintenance cost of the FAW JH6 is not low. Engine maintenance using CK4 grade long-life synthetic oil (100,000 km range), plus oil filter and labor costs, costs 2580 yuan per service. Transmission and rear axle maintenance requires specific gear oil and labor, costing 2418 yuan per service.

However, FAW Qingdao Jiefang vehicles have a certain advantage in maintenance costs. For example, the JH6's transmission, rear axle, and wheel hubs have exceptionally long oil change intervals, saving 3400 yuan annually. The J6P's three-section combined bumper design helps reduce later maintenance costs.

To reduce weight, FAW Jiefang heavy trucks utilize new materials, processes, and structures, lowering the weight to 8.5 tons. Mr. Li mentioned that the J6P's engine and other key components have longer replacement cycles, thus reducing costs. Low gas consumption per 100 kilometers can generate an additional 16,000 yuan in revenue per year.

Overall, while some components of FAW Jiefang heavy trucks are more expensive due to their high quality and advanced technology, from a long-term use and maintenance perspective, the overall cost-effectiveness is good, bringing value to users.
