1. When the ECU / exhaust brake switch is powered on, the solenoid valve opens, the compressed air from the air reservoir flows to the exhaust brake cylinder, pushing the butterfly valve to close the exhaust pipe, generating resistance from the engine, achieving engine braking (exhaust braking);
2. When the power is cut off: the valve is always closed, cutting off the intake, and simultaneously discharging the compressed air in the brake cylinder, releasing the exhaust braking;
3. As a conversion element between electronic control and air circuit, it receives the signal from the cab switch, controls the opening and closing of the air circuit, achieving assistance in deceleration during long downhill sections, reducing the use of brake pads during driving.
