The traditional reversing buzzer is mainly composed of a coil, contacts, capacitor and buzzer. In fact, it is controlled to work through a relay circuit. There are two sets of coils, L1 and L2. The circuit of coil L2 is connected in series with the capacitor. When powered on, the buzzer works and sounds. Both sets of coils are powered on simultaneously. Due to the equal but opposite currents, the magnetic fluxes of the coils cancel each other out, causing the contacts to close. As the capacitor continues to charge, the voltage at both ends gradually increases, reducing the current in coil L2. The magnetic flux in coil L1 increases and the contacts are attracted, interrupting the circuit and the buzzer stops working. When the voltage at both ends of the capacitor is zero, the contacts reopen and are powered on again, causing the buzzer to sound again. The capacitor is recharged.
This cycle repeats, and the reversing horn will emit intermittent "beep, beep" sounds.
Now, the reversing horn also uses IC chips, and its structure is simpler.
What is the structure and principle of an automotive buzzer?
1. For an electromagnetic automotive buzzer, it consists of a vibrating membrane, a magnet, an electromagnetic coil, and an oscillator, etc. When the power is connected, the audio signal current generated by the oscillator will pass through the electromagnetic coil to produce a magnetic field.
2. For a piezoelectric automotive buzzer, it is composed of impedance matching, piezoelectric buzzer diaphragm, and a multivibrator oscillator, etc.
