The wiper motor is the power core component of the car wiper system. It drives the turbine worm gear reduction mechanism through an internal permanent magnet motor, converting the armature's rotational motion into the reciprocating swing of the wiper arm to achieve the wiper function. This device adopts a three-electrode brush structure to regulate the current intensity and realizes speed control of low speed, high speed and intermittent gears by changing the number of series coils. Its mechanical structure includes a gear reducer, a four-bar linkage mechanism and a reset device. The output shaft is driven by a shift fork and is controlled by a spring reset mechanism to ensure the precise swing trajectory of the wiper arm.

The rotating torque is generated through the interaction between the armature winding and the magnetic field of the permanent magnet. The worm gear mechanism reduces the rotational speed to 20-60 rpm and increases the torque. The four-link mechanism converts the rotational motion into the reciprocating oscillation of the scraper arm at an angle of 60-80 degrees. The sliding contact between the brush and the commutator maintains the circuit continuity. The potentiometer controls the circuit by adjusting the input current intensity to achieve speed grading.
Electromagnetic drive unit: The stator permanent magnets generate a fixed magnetic field, and the rotor windings are energized through brush holders to form a rotating magnetic field.
Deceleration transmission module: The worm drives the copper-based powder metallurgy worm gear to achieve a reduction ratio of 18:1 to 35:1, and the output shaft is connected to the crank by a conical serrated connection.
Motion conversion mechanism: The output arm drives the four-bar linkage system, and the swing rod ratio is 1:3 to 1:5 to ensure the effective stroke of the scraping arm.
Reset device: The copper ring contacts and reset switch automatically return to the lower edge of the windshield when in the closed position.
The permanent magnet motor changes the number of connected coils through the combination of B1/B2/B3 three brushes:
Low speed gear: B1-B3 are conductive, four coils are connected in series, and the rotational speed is approximately 45 rpm.
High speed gear: B2-B3 are conductive, three coils are working, and the rotational speed is increased to 60 rpm.
Intermittent gear: The RC charging and discharging circuit controls the on-off cycle of the relay to achieve 3-15 second intervals of oscillation.
