The working principle of the foot brake valve is as follows: When the brake pedal is depressed, a series of mechanical actions occur, causing the compressed air in the air reservoir to enter each braking chamber. The push rod then pushes the adjusting arm, causing the cam to rotate. The brake shoe presses against the brake drum, thereby achieving the braking effect.

The specific working process is as follows
Press the brake pedal and pull the brake valve lever to lower the upper seat of the balance spring;
Through the balance spring, lower seat, steel ball, the push rod and the steel ball, the balance arm is pushed down, causing the two-chamber diaphragm assembly to move downward;
After eliminating the gap, first close the exhaust valve port, then open the intake valve port;
The compressed air in the air reservoir enters each braking chamber through the brake valve, the push rod pushes the adjusting arm to rotate, the brake shoe presses against the brake drum, generating the braking effect.
The automotive brake valve is an important component of the vehicle braking system.
When the brake pedal is depressed, the pull arm of the brake valve is pulled down by the balance spring, and then pushed down through the balance spring, the lower seat, and the steel ball. Through the push rod and the steel ball, the balance arm is pushed down, causing the two-chamber diaphragm assembly to move downward. After the gap is eliminated, the exhaust valve is closed first, and then the intake valve is opened. The compressed air in the storage cylinder enters the various braking chambers through the brake valve.


The push rod pushes the adjusting arm, causing the cam to rotate, and the brake shoe presses against the brake drum to generate the braking effect.
The exhaust brake valve is installed on the engine exhaust pipe. Pressing the exhaust brake switch button closes the exhaust channel. During the exhaust stroke of the engine piston, it is hindered by the gas counter-pressure, causing the engine to stop and generating the braking effect to control the vehicle speed. When the exhaust braking system is working, the valve body and valve plates close. The compressed air enters chamber C through the push rod and pushes the piston downward, opening the exhaust valve. The air compressor discharges air. When the pressure at the 21 port drops to 60 - 130 KPa, the diaphragm assembly moves downward, closing the valve. Chamber C is compressed air is discharged through the small hole, the piston moves upward, and the exhaust valve is closed. The air compressor resumes supplying air.
The advantages of having an exhaust brake valve in a car include: when driving down long slopes, the number and duration of the operation of the parking brake can be significantly reduced, preventing the brake from overheating and losing its braking force, and keeping the brake always in good condition. It extends the lifespan of the brake pads, reduces the driver's fatigue during the braking process, and is beneficial to the environment; exhaust braking is generated by compressing the gas in the engine and exhaust pipe. Therefore, it is soft, without impact, reduces the impact load on the parts, can extend the service life of related parts, and reduce the maintenance frequency; exhaust braking is transmitted to the driving wheels through the transmission system. The differential of the drive axle evenly distributes the braking torque to the left and right wheels. It reduces the tendency of the car to skid sideways, provides a sense of security during driving, and can increase the average speed of the car; the stop oil switch of the exhaust braking has a certain fuel-saving effect.
