Taking a two-axle transmission as an example, when in the forward gear, the power is transmitted from the input shaft to the output shaft, and only through one pair of gears, the rotational directions of the two shafts are opposite. While in reverse gear, the power is transmitted from the input shaft to the reverse gear shaft, and then from the reverse gear shaft to the output shaft, passing through two pairs of gears, the rotational directions of the input shaft and the output shaft are the same.

During the actual shifting process, certain steps must be followed. First, when it is necessary to shift gears, you should slightly increase the throttle to ensure sufficient power. Then, quickly close the throttle to temporarily stop the engine's power. Next, immediately grip the clutch lever firmly to disengage the clutch and prepare for the shift.
