It can filter fine metal particles generated by the wear of piston, crankshaft and cylinder liner, significantly reducing abnormal wear of the engine.
The difference between full-flow and split-flow filters
The working principles are different:
The full-flow filter allows all the air flow to pass through the filter element and then exit from the other side of the element. While the split-flow filter directs a portion of the air flow into the filter element for filtration, and the other portion of the air flow bypasses the filter element and passes through directly.
2. Different effects:
The all-flow filter can more effectively remove dust, impurities and other particles from the air, improving air quality; while the split-flow filter, although it can also play a certain purification role, has a relatively weaker effect.
3. Maintenance costs differ:
Since the filter only requires a portion of the airflow to pass through the filter element, the lifespan of the filter element is usually longer than that of the full-flow filter, resulting in lower maintenance costs. In contrast, the full-flow filter requires the entire airflow to pass through the filter element, so the filter element replacement frequency is higher and the maintenance costs are higher.
